Stéphane Bukk Appointed as the New Executive Director of the Fédération des gens d’affaires francophones de l’Ontario (FGA), Effective January 2025

Toronto, December 5, 2024—The Fédération des gens d’affaires francophones de l’Ontario (FGA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Stéphane Bukk as its new Executive Director, effective January 6, 2025. He succeeds Richard Kempler, who has led the organization with remarkable dedication since its inception. Mr. Bukk will bring his expertise and innovative vision to advance FGA’s mission.

Mr. Bukk has a wealth of experience in entrepreneurship both in Canada and internationally, with a solid background in business development and management within the financial and hospitality sectors. His strategic vision and commitment align perfectly with the FGA’s mission to support and promote economic opportunities for Ontario’s francophone community. His recent role at the Canadian Federation of Independent Business, along with his experience as a small business owner, will be major assets in supporting our members and leading FGA’s growth.

It is with honour and enthusiasm that I join the Fédération des gens d’affaires francophones de l’Ontario, ready to actively contribute to its mission. Ontario’s francophone entrepreneurs are at the heart of our province’s economic vitality, and I look forward to collaborating with our members, partners, the Board of Directors and our committed team to advance our priorities and strengthen the impact of the economic Francophonie across the province, the country and internationally.”—Mr. Stéphane Bukk

“On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to thank Richard for his outstanding leadership and dedication. In just a few years, he has positioned the FGA as a key player in francophone economic development. As we soon begin this new chapter in our history, we look forward to working with Stéphane to build on this solid foundation and open new perspectives for our organization and for the growth of our business community.”—Dominic Mailloux, President, FGA

It has been an immense privilege to launch and lead the FGA for the past four years. I am proud of what we have achieved with a passionate team and our business community. It is with great confidence that I pass the torch to Stéphane, whose vision and energy will not only sustain our current successes, but also drive innovation for the future. The Franco-Ontarian economic community is inspiring, and I have no doubt it will continue to thrive under Stéphane’s leadership. I wish him every success and fulfillment in this essential role.”—Richard Kempler, Executive Director, FGA

The year 2025 promises to be filled with impactful initiatives under Mr. Bukk’s leadership, including the 3rd edition of the Franco-Ontarian Business Forum (Forum franco-ontarien des affaires), to be held on May 15, 2025 in Sudbury.
